Bristol Board Project: Synthesis and Presentation

1. WITH YOUR GROUP, read this article about Chris Bosh. Together, pick out information and write a point form list. Next, write a profile of Chris Bosh to share with the class. MUST BE IN YOUR OWN WORDS; DO NOT COPY. Answer basic and advanced questions. Basic is simple information about the person; Advanced points are more detailed, and require more thinking and explanation.

2. BY YOURSELF, choose a person in Entertainment or Sports to do a bristol board project on.

You will have 5 periods to complete a bristol board display about this person.

The final project, ALL OF WHICH MUST BE DONE IN CLASS, will include:

- A bristol board display with sections, a title, your name

- Synthesized information about the person, NO COPYING; edited

- Basic to Advanced information: Basic = Who? What? When? Where?, Advanced = How? Why? USE THE Q-CHART TO ASK ADVANCED QUESTIONS.

- A point form note sheet

- A brief presentation on Friday (1-2 minutes)

- Neat presentation: (cutting, pasting, titles, printing)

- Participation
