This picture is of the school 96 years ago. I can really see the difference between now and then. Now the school is bigger and has the community centre attached. Back then the school had a bell tower and was a lot smaller. I think that only a couple hundred kids went to this school or less compared to the estimated 800 that go to Swansea now. The picture was taken as the students entered the school. I think that if the picture shows all the students in the school that then there was about an eighth of the students that go to swansea now. If there was only 100 students then teachers must have had a much easier time compared to the 25 to 30 students per class. Swansea back then probably has just enough students rather then the over populated Swansea of today. My guess is that the students were better behaved because the teachers could hit the kids back then , or at least the boys, girls were probably sent to the corner with the dunce cap on until they cried.

This is a picture of Swansea school in 1908 when it had
its bell tower and no community centre with a pool and 2 GYMs. Now it
does have a community and the bell is in the school since it was unstable
and it might have fallen off. This is probably in spring when the kids
are going inside for school. In 1908 swansea schools field was a garbage
dump but now it is a huge soccer, baseball, and football field. Now
there are benches to eat lunch and a playground for little kids.
