Podcasting Rocks!

It's one of those slightly irritating things: a word that keeps popping up everywhere you look - in print, on TV and radio. So it is with "podcasting". Most people say: "Yeah - I've heard of it but I'm not too sure what it is, exactly." Here it is: A podcast gives you your own show - most are audio, but increasingly more are video - in a very simple way. Taking its name from the ubiquitous music player by Apple, which now has come out with a video-capable model as well, together with the word "broadcast"", podcasting puts the power of the media in the hands of virtually anyone with a computer. One of the beautiful things about the podcast is the option to subscribe; once the listener clicks that button, they will be alerted every time you update your podcast with a new episode. A very simple and powerful way to keep your community tuned in.
