Listen to the three songs Mr. Higgins plays.

3) Strawberry Blonde - Ron Sexsmith

Read the lyrics. As the song plays, use the q-chart to write down questions that will help you better understand the person singing.

After, share your questions and we will explore the answers.

B / Listen to Changes, the Tupac Shakur version of this song.

On a piece of paper, write:

- What points does Tupac make in this song?

- Are they valid points? How do you know?

What other questions do you have that you can't answer? How can you find out the answer?

C / Homework

Write an essay comparing and contrasting the two songs. When your essay is completely edited, post it on your website. Include links and pictures to support your essay.

Suggested formula:

Introduction - state what you will be writing about in the essay

Body 1 - Present all the things that are similar between the songs.

Body 2 - Present all the things that are different between the songs.

Conclusion - Finish with a brief summary of your main points and a statement of the degree to which the two songs are similar or different.
